Tips For Buying Essential Oil

When you are looking to buy aromatherapy items, you will find it easier if you follow these helpful hints.
1. Buy essential oils from companies that are established with good, well-known reputations. This saves you from buying oils that are old or oils that are not useful.
2. Ask: Are the oils pure? Where do they come from? What are the botanical plant names? If the person selling the oils can answer these questions then you know they know about essential oils and are trustworthy. You will also know that the oils should not be made from anything other than plants. They should not be synthetic.
3. Be on the look out for synthetic essential oils. Some of these kinds of oils are carnation, lilac, strawberry, rain or cucumber. These oils are always synthetic so this could mean that the rest of the oils are synthetic. Synthetic oils are sometimes made with vegetable oil instead of plant oil.
4. Check for purity. Put a drop of essential oil on a piece of paper. It should quickly evaporate, leaving no oily mark. An oily mark means it was made with vegetable oil.
5. Check for quality. Sniff out the fragrance. A little of the scent should last a while and should smell very fragrant.
Test the quality of any new company by buying a small amount of essential oil for the first time. If you check the oil and it passes these tests than you know you have found a good company to buy from. Good luck and have fun experimenting.
