Removing Warts, Moles and Acne
There are several home remedies for removing skin blemishes such as acne, warts and moles. These remedies are cheap and easy to try. Some of these include using duct tape, banana peels, tea tree oil, apple cider vinegar and aloe vera gel.
The three remedies that sounded logical to me were tea tree oil, apple cider vinegar and aloe vera gel. Tea tree oil kills just about any bacteria and helps reduce dry flaky skin even on your scalp. The bad part is that tea tree oil does not smell good. It’s kind of strong and stinky but it does help with killing any other odors.
I was out of tea tree oil but I had some apple cider vinegar and aloe vera gel. Apple cider vinegar is used in many natural house hold cleaners and is good for the complexion. I don’t drink it but have heard that many people do to help with skin or hair problems, urinary or blatter problems and more. It is said that apple cider vinegar leaves your skin smoother and healthier loking and causes hair to have a healthy shine. It also kills bacteria.
Skin bacteria is why we get moles and warts. I decided to try aloe vera gel first. To try this method you need to dab a little aloe vera gel on a cotton ball. Pat the mole or wart with the cotton ball. Cover the aloe vera gelled mole or wart overnight. Do this once a night for at least a week. I have done this tweice and already noticed a difference. I had a small mole on the bottom of my face and now it is not noticeable unless you are very close. I can only feel a small bump and I am sure it will be completely gone in one or two more tries. I have a bigger mole on the bottom of my face that I’ve had since childhood and am working to remove with this remedy. I also have one on the side of my face that seems to be flatter then it was before. I am impressed with the results.
I will continue to try the aloe vera gel because it seems to be working and faster then I thought it would. After a week if my other two moles are still on my face I will try apple cider vinegar. It can be applied the same way that aloe vera gel is applied. Someone else I know is trying the aloe vera gel for a small infection on the back of her hairline at the nap of her neck. This seems to have happened when she was gardening for someone and scratched her neck with a dirty glove. Hopefully the gel will help her. Try this remedy and let me know if one of these works for you.
Happy New Year!
Happy 2010! This year has went fast. I am going to be putting some product reviews on this site soon. If you have any products such as crockpots, pans, or anything to do with cooking or making bath products be sure to send it to me so I can review it. You may contact me at jamacro@yahoo.com.
I love crockpots. They make things so much easier to cook. Here is a recipe for crockpot basil and garlic chicken breasts.
Put 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts in the crockpot. Season with seasoning salt. Add 2 minced garlic cloves and sprinkle some dried basil on the chicken. Put a little water in the pot to make sure the chicken stays tender. You don’t need much. Coook on high for 4 hours. Cook on low for at least 6 hours. Enjoy! Serve with garlic mashed potatoes and green salad with Italian dressing.
I Love Garlic
Garlic is one of the most useful herbs I have ever encountered. I love using it in cooking. The taste is so good. Too much can be too overpowering, but a medium amount is good for me. There are also other uses for garlic.
Garlic has many medicinal uses. It is good for lowering blood pressure, helping to lower cancer risks and much more. Many doctors recommend taking garlic tablets once a day. I don’t take tablets but I do eat plenty of garlic.
Garlic is also pretty easy to grow. You can buy the herb in the store or plant it yourself. Be sure to have a sunny spot if you plan to grow your own garlic.
Here are a couple of my favorite garlic recipes. I love mashed potatoes, especially garlic mashed potatoes. To make these peel and chop 4 potatoes. Boil and drain them. Add 1/4 cup milk and sugar, salt and pepper to taste. Mince 1 garlic clove and add to potatoes. Then if desired add 2 cooked and crumbled bacon strips. Mash the potatoes and these ingredients and you will have some tastey potatoes. For some reason red potatoes taste even better but they are a little more expensive.
You may also want to try garlic red potato salad. Peel and cube 1 pound of red potatoes. Boil and drain. Make sure they are fork tender and not mashed potato consistency. Add 1 or 2 minced garlic cloves and salt and pepper to taste. Add 1 cup mayonaise and 1/4 c relish. You may add a little minced onion and mustard. Add 2 cooked and crumbled strips of bacon and 1 hard boiled egg chopped. Mix this all together and chill for at least 1 hour before serving. This is some good potato salad. You may also add some chopped black olives for an even better taste.

Essential Oil Application Methods
BATH:
Add 10-12 drops of a single oil or a blend to 1/2 Cup Epsom Salts or baking soda - or 5 drops to 1 TBSP of Epsom Salts or baking soda. Pour it into a hot bath while it is filling. Soak until water cools.
DIRECT INHALATION:
Apply 2-3 drops of essential oil or blend to palm of one hand, rub palms together, cup hands over nose and mouth and inhale vapors deeply 6-8 times.
DIFFUSION:
A few drops in a diffuser (for therapeutic utilize, cold air diffusers do not harm the fragile properties of essential oils), you can buy electric devices, candle warmed, ceramic rings to place on light bulbs, or just make use of a bowl of warm water.
However, using heat to diffuse essential oils will destroy essential oils, rendering them therapeutically ineffective. Cold air diffusers gently break up essential oils into tiny molecules through micro diffusion thus retaining the integrity of the oils. This process creates a fine mist vapor that floats in the air and can be absorbed gently into the body through the respiratory system. If you’re diffusing an oil only for aroma, an oil burner works perfectly. But, if you’re using an essential oil or blend for therapeutic benefit, make use of a cold air diffuser.
COMPRESS:
Dilute 1 part essential oil or blend with 4 parts vegetable oil (olive works sizeably good) and apply 8-10 drops on affected area. Cover with moist hand towel or wash cloth. Cover the moist towel with a dry towel and leave in place for 10-15 minutes. If there is inflammation - always make use of a cold compress. If there is no inflammation, make use of a warm compress.
FOOT REFLEX POINTS:
Massage oil or blend with the side of your thumb or reflex tool on the corresponding reflex point on the feet (see the foot reflex charts at akobiaromas.com). Use a press and circle motion for 10-20 seconds per point.
RECTAL RETENTION: (only if directed by healthcare provider)
Dilute 15 drops recommended essential oil(s) or blend with 1 TBSP vegetable oil. Insert 1 TBSP into rectum with a bulb syringe and retain overnight.
VAGINAL RETENTION: (only if directed by healthcare provider)
Apply 5-8 drops of oil or blend on a tampon and insert into vagina for internal infection; or apply to sanitary pad for external lesions. Retain overnight.
VAPORIZE:
Run hot, steaming water into sink or large bowl. Drape towel over head, covering hot water also. Add 3-6 drops essential oil(s) or blend to the water. Inhale vapors as deeply as possible several times through the nose as they rise with the steam. Recharge vapors with additional hot water as needed.
MASSAGE:
Blend 15 drops of essential oil per ounce of carrier oil (Almond, Apricot, Jojoba) and indulge in the power of touch.
OTHER USES:
Facial steams, foot soaks, insect repellant, household cleaning

How Garlic Can Fight - and Cure - Ear Infections
Many people today know that garlic has a large number of health and wellness benefits. Most of these all the people however, tend to take garlic in pill or capsule form, and without realizing it: They could be losing out on many of the additional benefits this herb provides.
I discovered the true power of fresh garlic a little over 15 many years ago. My oldest son had chronic ear infections starting from a very young age, and he was on prescription antibiotics almost constantly. He ended up having drainage tubes surgically placed in his ears about 5 or 6 times.
I of course, got very frustrated with the constant medications and surgeries. They just werent doing the trick and my son was losing his hearing too. So I started investigating alternative medicine options. At the instant I figured I had to try something, so even though some things sounded really weird, I was willing to at least give it a whirl.
Not long after starting this search for alternative remedies, I happened upon some understanding about using garlic to kill ear infections. Now this is the weird part, but stick with me for a minute here: It really does work.
How to utilize fresh Garlic to kill ear infection pain within about 15 minutes, and clear up the infection completely in about 48 hours:
1. Cut a small tube, or plug shape piece of fresh garlic bulb.
2. Wrap that piece in tissue.
3. Place the wrapped garlic into the ear canal. Dont shove it down in there deeply, you just want it resting in the opening like an ear plug.
Its best to do this right before bed, and leave the garlic in the ear all night. It will likely fall out sometime during the night, but it should stay in there for at least a few hours. And thats plenty long enough.
As I said, within about 15 minutes or less, the pain of the ear infection will be greatly reduced - if not gone completely. So you or your child will be able to sleep easier during the night.
And in my knowledge the infection itself is completely gone within 24-48 hours. Honestly.
I tried this with my oldest son back when he was having so many ear problems, and I was simply astounded at how well it worked. And even better: His infections stayed gone much longer with this remedy than they did when he was grasping the prescription antibiotics.
Ive of course discovered many other alternative remedies in that time. For instance: If you do not have garlic on hand, you can use onion to treat ear infections too. Just cut off a small piece of fresh onion and utilize it like the garlic above, or put a few drops of the fresh cut onion juice in the ear.
My love affair with Garlic was just the initial of a 15 year relationship and learning experience. Because it was so successful, I began earnestly learning about a variety of other herbal remedies and homeopathic techniques. And Ive used them almost exclusively - and quite successfully - on all 4 of my children since.
So if you have a child up all night in pain from an ear infection, try a sliver of Garlic. You will probably be just as amazed and thankful as I was ![]()
